Learning Center of Foreign Languages (CELE)

It was founded to give foreign language classes thus making knowledge of other languages accessible to students at the National University. Today, in addition to offering classes in fifteen languages, the CELE is an academic partner in the Graduate School in Linguistics and offers training and further education courses for foreign language teachers, gives courses in languages for specific purposes, and carries out research in applied linguistics. On December 4, 2000 and by order of the then rector of the University, Dr. Juan Ramon De la Fuente, the CELE, both administratively and academically, became a center under the Humanities Division (Coordinación de Humanidades).

Learning Center for Foreign Students (CEPE in Spanish)

This center is part of the Secretariat for Institutional Development. It was opened with the purpose of teaching foreign students the fundamental elements of the Spanish language, while respecting their cultural and academic upbringing. It also offers exposure to Mexican culture. Besides the teaching tasks, the faculty researches the ongoing educational process, and participates in regular upgrading courses. The CEPE is made up of the following departments:
